Tteokbokki Recipes
Ingredients:
- 1 pack (1lb) of cylinder shaped white tteok (Korean rice cakes)
- 2 cups water
- ⅓ cup gochujang (Korean chili paste)
- 1 tbsp gochugaru (Korean hot pepper flakes)
- 1 tbsp sugar
- 1 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tsp garlic (minced)
- Fish cakes (optional, but yum)
- Green onions, sesame seeds (for garnish)
Steps:
- Soak rice cakes in warm water for 10 minutes if they’re frozen.
- In a pan, mix water, gochujang, sugar, soy sauce, and garlic. Bring to a boil.
- Add rice cakes and simmer until the sauce thickens (about 10 minutes).
- Toss in fish cakes, stir, and top with green onions and sesame seeds.
- Grab your chopsticks and get messy!
